Stage 01

Initial assessment & hazard identification

Inspection of the initial condition and identification of rollers, pulleys, transmissions and accessible drawing-in or trapping points.

Stage 02

3D scanning of the existing machine

Three-dimensional survey of the machine, its components and immediate environment to establish an accurate geometric reference for the engineering work.

Stage 03

Scan-data engineering

SOLIDWORKS 2022 · Point-cloud import and processing to identify the interfaces, clearances and access required for guard design.

Stage 04

3D CAD design of the guards

Custom design of upper and lower guards, opening panels, hinges, assisted-opening struts, handles, fixings and interlocking interfaces.

Stage 05

Digital validation in the overall model

CAD-to-point-cloud overlay and review of open and closed configurations: dimensional compatibility, travel, interfaces, access and collision clearance.

Stage 06

Manufacturing drawings & package

Anonymised extracts from assembly drawings, isometric views, sections, dimensions and manufacturing details. Title blocks and confidential data are not published.

Stage 07

Guard manufacturing

Cutting, bending, assembly and finishing of sheet-metal parts, followed by dimensional and interface checks before fitting.

Stage 08

Workshop pre-assembly & fitting

Assembly and adjustment of hinges, assisted-opening struts, supports, handles and fixings to validate mechanical operation before on-site installation.

Stage 09

Installation, integration & functional testing

Installation on the machine, final adjustments and testing in open and closed positions to verify access, process visibility, safety functions and operational compatibility.
