Gripper design, including the gripping surfaces, guidance, clamping mechanism and interfaces required to hold the shaft during transfer.

Stage 02

FEA calculations & mechanical validation

ANSYS 2019 R3 · Definition of constraints and loads, mesh review, equivalent-stress analysis and verification of gripper displacements under load.

Stage 03

Manufacturing, assembly & functional testing

Gripper manufacturing and assembly, mechanism adjustment, then gripping trials on a representative shaft to validate holding, stability and mechanical operation for a 10 kg SWL.
